Award-winning Chococo began in 2002 when husband and wife team Andy & Claire began handcrafting artisan chocolate on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast. Starting off in a small unit in Swanage, Chococo has grown into an additional site in Wareham and six Chocolate houses. Chococo are ethical chocolate makers and work direct with their chocolate partners in Ecuador, Colombia and Madagascar. Their chocolates are all single origin, slave-free, palm oil free with 100% traceability from Cocoa farm to Chococo. All packaging is plastic free and either recyclable or compostable.
Chococo is passionate about the planet and are involved in many sustainability projects including a collaboration with Sumatran Orangutan Society, Ocean Gaurdians & Project Seagrass.
Ingredients
Ecuador origin dark chocolate (cocoa mass, cane sugar, cocoa butter, sunflower lecithin. Colombia origin chocolate (sugar cocoa butter, dried gluten-free oat powder, cocoa mass, dried rice powder, sunflower lecithin, vanilla extract). Crystalised ginger (ginger sugar) agave honeycombe (golden caster sugar, glucose syrup, agave nectar, bicarbonate of soda). tangerine jelly (tangerines, sugar and lemon) orange oil, agave nectar, Two Drifters dark rum raisins (raisins , sunflower oil), nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, almond praline (almonds, sugar, caramelised sugar), roast nib almonds. Dorset sea salt roasted hazelnuts, ground coffee, Conker port Barrel gin, vanilla seeds, juniper berries. Decorative finishes: cocoa butter, calcium carbonate, iron oxides, curcumin, safflower, spirulina, sweet potato, radish, cherry, apple. Equador original dark chocolate contains 72% (min) cocoa solids. Colombia origin chocolate contains 43% (min) cocoa solids.
