Did you know we produced our first pre-packed own-brand product, white flour, back in 1980?
Greencity Wholefoods, as we are now known, started off as Scottish Wholefoods Collective, and was brought to life by our four founder members, seen below, in a tenement flat on Hamilton Park Avenue, Glasgow, in June 1978.
Our four fantastic founder members, with the help of a growing team, soon went on to produce a much wider variety of Greencity own-brand products, including cooking oils, condiments and juices, such as Safflower Oil, Olive Oil, Peanut Oil, Shoyu Soy Sauce and Apple Juice.
Also shown below are a few of the rough scamps for the lovely packaging designs that were used for some of those early Greencity products.

Today, we operate with a team of just over 60 members, and we now provide a range of over 4000 lines. Within that wider range we offer over 500 organic and non-organic lines under our own-brand, still core to our business and still very much a part of what we do.
Most of our products are packed on site in Glasgow by our dedicated organic-certified manufacturing department, distributed by us across Scotland, the north of England and the north of Ireland. You can buy all our products in both retail and bulk sizes – perfect for shop shelves and refill hoppers.

Beans & Pulses
We've got an alphabet of beans and pulses, well almost, from Aduki Beans to Yellow Split Peas. Have you tried Mung Beans yet? Great in curries, soups and stews, but also suitable for sprouting your own greens.

Cereals
If you like your oats, you have to try our organic Scottish porridge oats. Sourced from Cliftonhill Farm in the Scottish Borders, these oats are perfect for a creamy smooth porridge, and a little goes a long way. We also provide a wide range of muesli mixes, and you've been missing out if you haven't stocked our Organic Deluxe Muesli.
Have you tried our Highland Bramble Crunch Muesli? A unique Scottish take on a Swiss classic, it won bronze at the ScotHot trade show in 1992 and continues to be one of our most popular mueslis.
Snacks & Mixes
We've got a resplendent roll call of snacks including Bombay Mix, Whole Roasted & Salted Cashews, Chilli Rice Crackers, Mixed Nuts & Raisins, Roasted & Salted Peanuts, Roasted & Salted Pistachios, Seaweed Peanut Crackers, Trail Mix, Tropical Mix, Wasabi Coated Peanuts and Wasabi Peas. We dare you not to love the latest addition to this range, our Smoked Almonds 250g. You'll struggle to put down this most moreish of snacks.

Flours
When it comes to flour and powdered items you'll find we have the usual and the unique. You've probably already got our Organic Plain White Flour, but have you noticed the Vital Wheat Gluten? Honey
Organic honey can be difficult to find, so we sourced it for you. We have clear and set varieties in sizes to suit both retail and catering needs.
Nuts, Fruits & Seeds
When it comes to nuts, fruits and seeds, we've got all the usual suspects. In addition to the staples, we have a lovely selection of Scottish freeze-dried fruits which are perfect for baking and cereal mixes. Jenni in our Sales Team would encourage you to try our Omega Seed Mix, great sprinkled over your breakfast cereal.
