Mungoswells Farm, owned and run by the McDowall family, produce a great range of quality, award-winning Scottish flours, both organic and non-organic, with ‘unrivalled traceability’.

Their farm, situated just north of Haddington in the heart of East Lothian, spans 550 acres of rich arable farmland - on which they grow cereals, beans, and clover – with 235 acres dedicated to organic farming.

The McDowall family has farmed at Mungoswells for over a century. They sow the wheat, grow, harvest, dry and store the grain, then mill the flour and package every bag right there on the farm, helping keep the food miles down to a minimum. The flours they produce are rich in protein and fibre, as well as being completely additive free (apart from the raising agent found in their self-raising flours!).

Their wholemeal range is truly unrefined, with nothing removed or added, resulting in a more nutritious choice. Their flours, used and loved by home-bakers and professionals alike across Scotland and the UK, are great for a wide range of bakery, from hearty wholemeal or white breads, to pizzas, cakes, pastries, and scones.
